According to data by Miami Realtors, pending sales of Miami homes were up 33.7 percent in August compared to the same month last year. “Pending sales” are homes with that have contracts but have not yet been closed.
There are 10,119 pending Miami home sale contracts in Miami-Dade County, 2,549 more than last year. Month-over-month, pending sales were up 0.6 percent from August.
There were 5,759 pending sales for Miami condos which represented a 49.7 percent increase over the same month last year, and a decrease of 0.7 percent from August.
For single-family homes, there were 4,360 pending sales and an increase of 17.1 percent compared to last August.
According to July figures released by the National Association of Realtors, pending sales nationally were up 5.2 percent year-over-year.
