Pending approval by the National Association of Realtors, the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches (RAMB) has merged with the Realtor Association of Miami-Dade County (RAMDC).
The professional organizations will be called The Miami Association of Realtors and will also have a residential and commercial association as well as a Broward County board of governors, an international council and an educational foundation. Their combined membership will total 23,000 Miami Realtors.
The CEO of the Greater Miami and the Beaches group, Teresa King Kinney, will take the helm as CEO of the joint organization while Jack Levine, president of Levine Realty, will serve as its first chairman of the board.
Terri Bersach, chairman of RAMB's board, said in a videotaped statement, ``our goal with the merger is to bring you the best programs, products and services to help you grow your business.''
RAMDC President Victor Ulloa added, ``this merger will allow us to expose our market, our lifestyle and our world-class services to a much broader audience.''
It has been announced that the Miami Realtors' Multiple Listing Service contacts and preferences will be saved and member dues will not increase as a result of the merger.
