International Investment Opportunities Are Abundant in Florida
Three different communities in Florida: Hollywood, Tampa and Miami were listed on Forbes Magazine’s recent list of the top ten hottest U.S. real estate markets. Florida makes for a great investment for international real estate buyers due to the recent decline in the value of the dollar to the pound and Euro.
Over the past several years Florida has been one of the hottest real estate markets, literally and figuratively, in the United States and Worldwide. Recent statistics and news indicates that Florida is still the place to invest. Even thought the market has slowed there are still many regions that are going strong and will continue to in the future.
Hollywood, Florida just north of Miami according to Forbes has one of the best real estate markets in country. In the 4th quarter of 2006 average home values increased 10.4% year over year according to a report done by Forbes. Its location is a prime spot for vacationers and tourists, and it is close enough to Miami and Orlando so that you can get to most of South Florida’s attractions without too far of a drive. Plus the climate is great year round for retirees and there is much to offer.
At just over 7.5% Miami and Tampa saw almost identical growth last year. You can find all the major attractions of city life as well as Florida’s great year round weather. Tampa is on the Gulf Coast of Florida and the weather is a bit milder that Miami. Miami is the most popular destination for home buyers as well as retirees and tourists. It has some of the most popular beaches and communities in the country including South Beach, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne.
The dollar is at an all time low against the Euro and not to mention its near 30 year low versus the pound. This means that Europeans can buy more dollars with their money which naturally means they can by more real estate with their money as well. With the dollar being at its low and Florida Real Estate continuing to be strong, it is a great time for international real estate investors to invest in this always attractive market.
