South Florida real estate news, Miami hotels news

Nicky Hilton had an agreement with the Falor group to license her name to a South Beach Hotel. The Falor group out of Chicago became very active a couple years ago establishing partnerships and joint ventures with local hoteliers in Miami. The results of the Falor group endeavors resulted in an array of lawsuits with all parties involved in their negotiations.

The deal between the two parties went sour and Nicky Hilton and Robert Falor went to court in February 2007 to resolve their differences. This was only eight months after they signed a marketing agreement concerning the Breakwater Hotel on Ocean Drive.

Mr. Falor is also involved in a lawsuit with the original owner of the Breakwater hotel, Mr. Jonas Mimoun. Nicky Hilton and her advisors resumed their search to establish her brand on another South Beach hotel. It is believed that negotiation was engaged with the Angler condo hotel project but that the talks fell through. Nicky Hilton’s entourage announced that she was close to securing a deal with another hotel to launch the Nicky O brand.
